HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

Universal for General Construction and Trading Company is committed to satisfying all legal and other requirements and to applying the hierarchy of controls to OH&S risks. We proactively comply with all applicable occupational health and safety, legal and regulatory requirements to which we subscribe in order to:

  1. Prevent accidents and work-related ill health by managing health and safety risks in the workplace;
  2. Complying with all applicable Health and Safety legislation, regulations, code of practice and other requirements relevant to our company operation.
  3. Maintain and continually improve our management systems to eliminate hazards and reduce health and safety risks to all our stakeholders.
  4. Integrate health and safety procedures and best practices into every operational activity with assigned line-functional responsibilities at all levels.
  5. Involve our employees and business associates in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through consultation and participation
  6. Adopting the practice of eliminating, minimising and mitigating hazards and risks
  7. Set safety & health metrics as indicators of excellence, monitor progress and continually improve health and safety performance
  8. Provide clear instructions and information, and adequate training, to ensure employee competence;
  9. Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances.

This Health, Safety and environment policy shall be communicated to all staff

Universal for General Construction and Trading Company will review this policy on an annual basis taking into account any changes within the legislation, our company and feedback from consultation with our employees
